higher order thinking

Was too tired to blog last night. The only topic in my heart is 'Money'. Only till yesterday that I understood how important money is and without money you will cry. For the first time, my dental appointment took 1.5 hours. For the first time, I met up with two experts to discuss my possible career path. For the first time, my heart was slit and bled as if I needed a blood transfusion (just an analogy). $1.3k instead of $100. I was crying in the cubicle after paying $500. Madness. Another $800 to go. I haven't even earned a single cent. Where the heck am I supposed to raise that sum of money? Say 'bye bye' to the handphone and camera and what's not. Looking at my depleting savings. The interest is already so pathetic and now the savings are going to look real pathetic too.

Too many things that happened yesterday. It's certainly not by chance, but it has opened up my heart and eyes to want to see this world. When in the world would I have thought that I'd be working PT and studying PT, of course serving God FT. I'm one year away from the legal age of 21, and it's time to step out of the comfort zone and do something about my life. Once again be reminded that 'Life is not a bed of roses, especially when you follow God'. You're bound to receive some time bombs at some point in life, and they love to explode all at the same time. It's then a test of putting your trust in God.

We went to Sketches - Pasta and Wine Bar for lunch. Hmm... So I could actually design my own pasta? Sweet! Had a very creamy plate of penne with only my favourite toppings, garnishes and lots of grated cheese. However I didn't finish the food not because it wasn't yummy. It was too filling having a set meal with the mushroom soup and also a dessert which came from Geo's set lunch - Tiramisu if I'm not wrong. Thumbs up!!! The dessert was super appetising. Watergirl helped me with the big glass of lemon tea. Less sugar in my body! What a pity I couldn't take pictures of the food. I think I'd make a second trip down someday when my pockets are fuller.

What a surprise... I saw Nic with some young boys at EP. He actually agreed to travel all the way for Raffles Place to EP which I think isn't worth it cos the food at EP isn't very appetising. Glad to have a really short chat with him, knowing that he's been retrenched and is going to book in this coming October. I'm so evil hehehe. I might consider sending you off, Nic!

So it's Labour Day today, and happy holidays to all! Have a good rest, be recharged, and off you go for the next few months before another public holiday comes by. I've lost track. It's the school holidays anyway, woohoo ( : It's the collection day! I'll be getting my contact lenses from my seller Jo and tomorrow I can wear them to go cycling! Day out with some of the hall girls and it will surely be fun ( : I can't wait to have cgm and it'll be a time to get soaked in His presence!

Wonder if I'll look this cute =P
