Birthday season

Thursday, April 10, 2008

My right eye is still swollen, oh darn. 2nd day, going on to the 3rd day soon. Perhaps the sleeping hours got to increase. Anyway roomie suggested getting a cake cos I didn't know what to get. So I went to get a slice for J who's celebrating his birthday today, 10/4. Put it in WQ's fridge so that it will still be fresh till today. Guess what... He returned home in the evening. I almost fainted. Boohoo. No more surprise nor anything...

HAPPY 22nd JASON! It's been a good year in the same hall cum block (: And being so ever-friendly to offer printing services using your roomie's printer, haha... This cake is for you! (but it ended up in my stomach for some good reasons...)

Had a lunch gathering with the t-t girls after an unsuccessful one last Thurs due to the stormy weather. At first we wanted to try CP but it was absurd to wait for 30 minutes when our stomachs were all growling madly. SW was even worse - never-ending queue. And OCK finally opened! Anyway, we ended up trying out the Western cuisine at The Palette. Can't give very good ratings though the pricing is considered reasonable. Chicken was so-so, soup was rather alright, latte turned cold oops, and the worst was the potato wedges. SALTY to the max! Why am I always served salty food? It's the same story with M's fries. Subsequently when I eat in school, I never fail to order fries without salt. Still, I could spot the salt crystals on the "salt-less" fries. At least the salt content decreases by 70% compared to a normal packet. Thank God. Too much sodium is bad for the heart yea... My heart is working harder than my brain. Back to the topic... Lunch was great! A time of fellowship or better known as TCSS session. I mean I always get to see MQ, and another is my roomie. Just that L is usually less seen by me. Felt bad letting her wait for us three cos of the eating speed, heh. Never mind, she woke up late in the first place. Still I miss these girls. We got to hold such meetings more often!

Oh yea the birthday wish-list! It's like a birthday season this week so might as well mention what I hope to receive:

  1. Digital camera - perhaps the Fuji F50fd
  2. Mobile phone - a N6500 slide or what comes along the way
  3. Slippers - Havaianas and/or from Ada's online shop
  4. Wallet - not too fanciful
  5. Bag - able to fit A4. Camel/black/red
  6. Christian books - Max Lucardo's
  7. Tigger toys are welcomed!

5 days to exams!
