It marks the official opening of 3 particular fast food chains at Pulau NTU, namely M(the red&yellow guy), S(emphasizes 6g of fat) and CP(2 for 1, isn't it familiar). As usual, the first day is always flooded with curious people who want to try out the food. Actually JP also has the same fast food. Now that we have them in school, that will mean a dip in business at JP. Aww so sad. Yingy, watergirl and I take no interest in joining the pioneer batch of customers and decided to go to another canteen for dinner. To my horror, the portion shrank. Skipping lunch ain't a good idea cos I usually end up eating more. >.< After which I ordered an ice-cream waffle and ate heartily till my stomach couldn't take it. So filling!
Anyway SH and I had a conversation after service yesterday. She's really easy to talk to, no matter on serious matter or merely crapping. Was telling her I'm really glad to be part of the CB family, my spiritual ground. If not for CB, I may have already backslidden, so you see, CB matters a lot to me. It's the place that taught me to not settle for anything mediocre for excellence pleases God. Coincidentally, this weekend's message was on "Thinking with excellence", which complements with our values. Moving onto my studies, like what is happening in my life... The choices that I need to make but have yet to decide where to go. For the past year, I've been thinking of what to major in, like Civil/Envir/Elec/Mech, of which I thought I wanted Envir at first. But after some time, Mech seems to overpower Envir cos it seems more general and job scope might be wider. The specialisations also look more interesting, because of the one on biomaterials. Also there was rumour on the very few number of vacancies left in Envir. After talking it through, I knew the answer wouldn't come out from her mouth. Then again, she told me to pray about it, which I felt was essential so that I could be led by the HS to make my choice. After much thoughts and a desperate prayer last afternoon, I feel more control over what's going on - a direction that I ought to move towards to.
ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING!
So be it!
So now I gotta work harder on my core subjects, and also the electives. Till then...
